The Food and Culture Area of the Southwest/ Texas Popular and American Culture Association invites papers for a panel on representations of SPACE FOOD in film, television, and print media for the annual conference at the Marriott Rivercenter in San Antonio, TX

Papers in this panel will be interested in examining how eating in space is represented in popular media (i.e. examples from a few popular historical and science fiction films, television shows like Star Trek, and in cartoons like the Jetsons).

Scholars, graduate students, foodies and others interested in the intersection of food and culture are encouraged to submit. Please send a short curriculum vitae and 250-350 word abstract by December 10 to LevasseurJ@si.edu or to the physical address below:
