Journal of Philosophy: A Cross-Disciplinary Inquiry
The peer-reviewed "Journal of Philosophy: A Cross-Disciplinary Inquiry" is dedicated to bringing western and non-western humanities currents into dialogue with each other. It publishes articles, comments, and reviews, and each issue includes an interview with a known figure in philosophy, literature, or literary theory. The journal is most interested in themes of contemporary or perennial importance in the areas of philosophy, aesthetics and literature, written from post-structuralist, critical theory, deconstructionist, post-colonial and/or non-western philosophical perspectives. The journal is edited in the United States and produced in Nepal, and is sponsored by the Society for Philosophy and Literary Studies of Nepal.
Considerable section of the reputed scholars have already contributed to the journal such as the late Richard Rorty, Hilary Putnam, Marjorie Perloff, Charles Bernstien, Jerome McGann and other renowned philosophers and literary theorists from Asia, Europe, Australia, African and Latin America. Our journal is circulated electronically to the considerable section of readers in South Asia, USA and more than 80 other countries.
Submissions are welcome in all topics within the broader frame of humanistic studies. Manuscripts of any length will be considered but substantial essays of 4,000-5,000 words are preferred. All submissions must be in CMS documentation (However, if your essay is in a different format other than the CMS, you can still submit your essay. If your essay is selected for the publication, you should convert it into the CMS. Our editors will help out you, if needed) style and shall be subject to a process of peer-review. Papers accepted for submission must include 100-150 word abstracts. Authors agree that accepted papers may be published by the journal in any format, print or electronic, and that the journal may grant permission to third parties for permission to translate and/or reprint published articles in any print or electronic format.
