Proposals on any aspect of MODERNISM AND FASCISM are invited for submission to the AMERICAN CULTURE ASSOCIATION Area Chair listed below.

Call for papers on any topic dealing with the nature of the relationship between Modernism and Fascism, in particular practitioners, authors with tendencies in their works, biographical approaches to the movements, fascist theories and the attraction of writers, writers groups and fascist ideologies, futurism, art and authoritarian culture, new looks at old fascist connections, re-evaluations of the attraction to authoritarian political and social movements, etc.. I would most like some discussion on the modernist attraction, particularly as it has been re-evaluated in terms of the desire for order in post-war years, and the extent to which fascism is now being taken as a political ideology in its own right.
