"Teaching, Literacy, and the Role of English Studies"

Sigma Tau Delta is the International English Honor Society. This panel seeks, then, papers on areas central to the honorary society’s purpose, including pedagogy and teaching, the promotion of literacy, and the role of English studies in the academy or society as a whole. Submissions from Sigma Tau Delta members will be given first priority. Please submit abstracts of no more than 500 words to Lynne Simpson at lsimpson@presby.edu by March 1, 2011.

The 65th annual Rocky Mountain MLA (RMMLA) convention will be held from October 6-8, 2011 at the Chaparral Suites Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.

RMMLA is an organization for its members. You are asked to be current in your dues or become a new member by April 1 to attend the convention, present a paper, or have your name included in the convention program. Thank you in advance for your support of this policy. For more information on RMMLA please see http://rmmla.wsu.edu.

Further information on Sigma Tau Delta can be found at www.english.org. Membership is available to faculty members and administrators at a college or university with a Sigma Tau Delta chapter, who have a degree in English. Each new member pays a one-time international induction fee of $37; local chapter fees vary.

Thank you for your interest, and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
