CFP: [African-American] Essays on Uncle Tom's Cabin

      Editor seeks 10 20-25 page manuscripts on Harriet Beecher Stowe’s
Uncle Tom’s Cabin and its relation to 19th century American and
literature law. Essays will correlate laws such as the Fugitive Slave
Laws with race gender, and economics (either separately or combined). The
volume is ended for both professional scholars and graduate students. The
ideal contributor will have either a master’s or Phd in literary studies
or a related field and have conducted extensive research in 19th American
literature. Editor also seeks an annotated bibliography of roughly 45 key
secondary sources of Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Please forward a 250 word
abstract and resume to gerrydelguercio_at_yahoo.com by August 15th 2008.
Essays will follow MLA guidelines and include full endnotes Please add a
short list of recommended readings. Only accepted abstracts will receive
a reply. Compensation will be announced once a publisher is found.
