Four Corners Media and Globalization: October 28-28th
The 28-29th of October, 2011, Mesa State College will sponsor a multidisciplinary conference with the theme of " Globalization and the Media" that proposes to explore this relationship--positive and negative, past and future, real and imagined—in the Four Corners region, in the United States and in the whole world from a variety of perspectives and academic disciplines including Social Sciences, Linguistics, Communications, Literature, Film, Technology and others.
Researchers and practitioners are invited to send proposals for presentations on industry, the humanities, human services, national security, criminal justice, identity, language or culture.
Submission of Abstracts:
Deadline for the submission of abstracts is Aug. 12, 2011. Abstracts can be in English or Spanish, with a maximum size of one page on letter-sized paper (8 ½" x 11 ½") with one-inch margins and 12 pica font. One additional page will be permitted for references. Abstracts should be anonymous. One proposal per individual and one co-presentation per author wiil be permitted.
