THE ATRIUM: A Journal of Academic Community Voices, is a peer-reviewed cross-disciplinary journal published twice annually by Ivy Tech Community College Northwest. Ivy Tech is an academic home to 160,000 students throughout Indiana and is one of the largest community college systems in the United States.

The Atrium invites and encourages academic discourse across the disciplines. We seek innovative, creative, and critical articles from faculty and administrators from two- and four-year colleges and universities. Material published has dealt with broad issues that connect classroom to culture and to community. The Atrium is attracting an international following of academic readers, and we invite you to participate through the publication of your own best work.

We do not accept previously-published material, theses, or dissertations. We welcome shorter articles, book and website reviews, and limited poetry, creative writing, and artwork. Research should follow through into practice in the classroom. Articles should be limited to 5,000 words. SUBMISSION DEADLINE: JANUARY 1, 2012.

To view our current and archived issues, to read the current submission guidelines, and to submit your work, please go to http://nwi.ivytech.edu/atrium/. Questions may be addressed to Nancy Riecken, Managing Editor of The Atrium, at nriecken@ivytech.edu.
