"Aerial Views: The Third Dimension in Eighteenth-Century Art and Literature" (Feb 23-25, 2012; Abstracts due: Oct 31, 2011)
Paper proposals are invited for a panel on "Aerial Views: The Third Dimension in Eighteenth-Century Art and Literature" that will be presented at the SCSECS annual conference, which will be held on February 23-25, 2012, in Asheville, North Carolina, at the Grove Park Inn. This year's conference theme is Panoramas and Prospects. Panel Description: This panel invites papers on imagined or real aerial travel, hiking trips to mountain tops, panoramic views of the world from church spires and similar high buildings, as well as any other approximation of a bird's eye view.
