Charles Olson taught at Black Mountain College from 1948 until 1956, during which time he wrote some of his most important essays and poems and formed some of his most influential engagements with other writers and artists. For a panel at the May 2012 American Literature Association in Boston, we invite papers on the work that Olson did at Black Mountain (published or unpublished), or on the influence that he and Black Mountain exerted on other writers. Proposals of no more than 250 words should be sent to Jeffrey Gardiner at jeffreyjgardiner@gmail.com or to Gary Grieve-Carlson at grieveca@lvc.edu by January 7, 2012.
