Soliciting the Text: Reading, Teaching, Theorizing, Writing
We are seeking paper and panel proposals for the Twelfth Annual Graduate English Conference at Southern Connecticut State University (New Haven, CT). Proposals may address any area of English studies as well as a variety interdisciplinary fields including but not limited to American studies, African-American studies, film studies, Latina/o studies, postcolonial studies, textual studies, queer studies, and women's studies.

Individual proposals must be emailed to Dr. Vara Neverow at firstname.lastname@example.org and must include a 250-500 word abstract and the individual's name, title of the paper, affiliation (if any), preferred phone number(s), and e-mail address.
Panel proposals must be emailed to Dr. Vara Neverow at email@example.com and must include the title of the panel, the 250 word abstract for the panel proposal, and the 250-500 word abstracts of individual presenters' papers. Please also include the names, paper titles, affiliations (if any), phone numbers and email addresses of all participants.
Panels will be one and half hours in length. Individual presentations will be 15-20 minutes long depending on the number of panelists.
Submissions must be received by March 31, 2012. Notification of acceptance of proposals will be provided on or around April 7, 2012. Pre-registration fees are $10 for SCSU students and faculty and $25 for non-SCSU participants and attendees. On-site registration is $15 for SCSU students and faculty and $30 for non-SCSU participants and attendees.
Pre-registration for the conference ends on Friday, April 13, 2012.
