UPDATEfull name / name of organization: James Hogg Society / University of Glasgow School of Critical Studies contact email: Kirsteen.McCue@glasgow.ac.uk 2012 James Hogg Conference: Hogg and the Romantics Call for Papers The next Biannual James Hogg Conference will be jointly hosted by the James Hogg Society and the School of Critical Studies at the University of Glasgow. It will take place at the University of Glasgow from Friday 29 to Saturday 30 June 2012. A trip to Burns country is planned for Sunday 1 July, 2012. The theme of the Conference will be “Hogg and the Romantics”. The Conference will provide an opportunity to explore the nature of Hogg’s relationship with other Romantic writers and welcomes, in particular, papers relating to all aspects of Hogg’s relationship with Scottish Romanticism. Papers on topics related to the life and works of James Hogg and to Hogg's literary connections and influence are also welcomed. Reading time should not exceed 20 minutes.
