CFP Journal Culture, Language and Representation [October 30, 2012]
Journal Culture, Language and Representation, ISSN: 1697-7750, seeks contributions for its next volume to be issued May 2013.
Volume 9 is an open Call for works that adopt a cultural analysis to the problematic nature of representation, communication and artistic manifestations (literature, film, performance, visual arts, etc.).
Culture, Language and Representation is a peer-reviewed journal devoted to the analysis of the current state of cultural phenomena and artefacts, thus it favours approaches that explore current events as representative of the cultural zeitgeist. Historical approaches that feed on and/or help explain the present are also welcome.
The journal encourages both theoretical and empirical works that tackle specific works or authors.
Contributions of 6000 words approx. should be sent to the Editors, either as an attachment to
Jose R. Prado
or through the OJS platform in which the journal is included.
Deadline for submissions: 30 October, 2012.
All submissions will undergo a peer-review process and authors will be notified acceptance or rejection of articles in the average time of one month.
For the 2014 issue Culture, Language and Representation intends to explore the topic of the global economic crisis and its effects on culture and society through the various representations of this phenomenon in the Arts and the media. A specific Call for Contributions will be circulated in due time.
For any questions or queries regarding this call for papers or the journal, please do not hesitate to contact the Editors.
