LCMRS 2012 (10/13/2012-10/14/2012)full name / name of organization: The Louisiana Consortium of Medieval and Renaissance Scholars contact email: soldenbu@tulane.edu The Louisiana Consortium of Medieval and Renaissance Scholars will hold its annual meeting this fall at Tulane University in New Orleans on October 13-14, 2012. The Consortium welcomes scholars from across the gulf coast region in addition to the initial core group from Louisiana universities and colleges. The LCMRS, which began in September 2003 at Louisiana State University, is a multi-disciplinary annual meeting of scholars in the Medieval and Renaissance fields of study. Our meeting will consist of four sessions (four 15-minute papers in each session) including a session on rare books at Tulane, a luncheon, and a reception. If the influx of paper proposals is very large, we can reserve an additional meeting room for concurrent sessions. Paper topics on any area of Medieval or Renaissance studies are welcome, but we hope to organize sessions on the following: Participants need to arrange their own hotel accommodations.
