MMLA 2012 Panel - Doris Lessing and the Aesthetics of Debt - Deadline July 2, 2012

This panel seeks papers examining Doris Lessing's critiques of Marxism and capitalism, characters' anxieties about debt and making ends meet, the relationship between debt and colonialism, and/or Lessing's concerns about the relationship between aesthetics and economics.

Please send 250-word abstracts by July 2nd to Tonya Krouse, krouset@nku.edu.

The Midwest Modern Language Association Convention will take place from Nov. 8-Nov. 11, 2012, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
