CFP: EUROPEAN JOURNAL OF LIFE WRITING
EUROPEAN JOURNAL OF LIFE WRITING
Call for Papers
Announcing the 2012 Summer launch of
an open-access, peer-reviewed e-journal on Life Writing
At the Founding Conference of the European Chapter of the International Auto/Biography Association (IABA Europe) in October 2009, it was decided that IABA Europe should host an open-access, peer reviewed e-journal on Life Writing. After receiving a grant from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) in 2010, IABA Europe commissioned the University Library of the VU University Amsterdam to host the journal. An editorial board consisting of scholars from different European countries is currently preparing the launching of the first issue of the journal, which will take place in 2012.
The European Journal of Life Writing is an interdisciplinary journal, which welcomes submissions of articles on all aspects of Life Writing (biographical and autobiographical) across a wide range of disciplines (including literature, history, sociology, ethnography, psychology).
The Journal will also include a creative section, for which we welcome reflections on practice, original work in any form (e.g., text, image, film, other media), accounts of community engagement, and other materials appropriate to the further establishment and dissemination of life writing in and beyond academia.
The web address is:
You will find there, under the About button, guidelines for making submissions to the journal.
Articles will be published in English, with a summary in the first language of the author.
