The E. E. Cummings Society and the Society's journal, Spring, invite abstracts for 20-minute papers for the 41st annual Louisville Conference on Literature and Culture since 1900, February 21-23, 2013, at the University of Louisville (http://www.thelouisvilleconference.com). This session explores poet E. E. Cummings' role in a transforming modernism that breaks the barrier between language and arts. We are particularly interested in how the innovations and radicalism of Cummings' experiments in typography, poetic genres, narrative forms, and in visual and performing arts transform modernism. We invite papers that explore Cummings’ dialogic aesthetics that is both shaping and shaped by personal history and cultural memories of modernism and beyond.
