Special Issue on
Medical Informatics

Call for Papers

Due to the enormous growth in the use of information technology in all aspects of healthcare provision; medical informatics has recently emerged as a major field of research with a wide range of applications. The purpose of this special issue is to demonstrate the potential of several intelligent approaches exploited in informatics technology within medical practices.

The focus of this special issue is on the proposal of techniques in medical informatics on which they build. This special issue will become an international forum for researchers to summarize the most recent developments in the field, with a special emphasis given to the improvements and results obtained in recent years. Topics include, but are not limited to:

• Telemedicine Applications
• Medical Signal and Image Processing
• Artificial Intelligence and its Applications in Medicine
• Medical Security and Privacy
• Healthcare Decision Making

Submissions to this special issue should be authors’ original work related to topics of medical informatics. Authors should carefully read over the journal's author guidelines located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jece/guidelines/.
