FEMINIST SPACES AND FUTURES
Women's Studies Conference, Tampere, November 16-17, 2012

In November 2012, Women's Studies Annual Conference gathers together scholars in Women's and Gender Studies to discuss current issues and latest findings and to share new ideas. The theme of this year's conference is Feminist Spaces and Futures.

We are soliciting papers for the workshops. Six workshops welcome papers and presentations in English. Please submit your abstract for paper (150-200 words) directly to the workshop coordinators. * Representations of gendered violence
* Biotechnological spaces and futures: feminist interrogations
* Trans* perspectives
* Postcolonial and transnational spaces and futures
* Queer -- between politics and literature
* Gender identity -- revisiting the concept of identity and the politics of difference

The main language in the conference is Finnish, but the keynote lectures as well as six workshops are in English.
