CFP: Music: Traditional, Political, Popular at SW/TX ACA/PCA Conference - Albuquerque, NM Feb 13-16, 2013full name / name of organization: SW/TX PCA/ACA contact email: Brad.Klypchak@tamuc.edu The SW/TX PCA/ACA Music: Traditional, Political, Popular Area invites submissions from individuals or organized panels (3 or 4 persons) focusing on any topic relating to all aspects of the popular cultural study of music. Topics can include but are not limited to: • individual artists or albums Abstracts on any topic of music will be considered. (Please note: specific SW/TX PCA/ACA areas exist for Grateful Dead, Punk, and Rap/Hip-Hop scholarship. Proposals on these topics should be directed accordingly.) Individual abstracts and complete panels of three and four will be welcomed. For individual submissions, please include name, affiliation, address, and email address along with the title of the paper, a 150-250 word abstract, and a brief bio. For panel submissions, please include all the above along with a title of the panel and a 50 word summary of the panel’s focus. The 2013 SW/TX PCA/ACA Conference will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the Hyatt Regency downtown. Further details regarding the conference (listing of all areas, audio/visual equipment, hotel, registration, tours, etc.) can be found at http://swtxpca.org.
