On behalf of the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, St. Louis University, we are looking for papers that make conjectures about any and all aspects of medieval human-animal transformations. Some topics may include:

-The space/setting of human-animal transformations
-The motivations/causes behind these transformations
-Gender construction and notions of masculinity and femininity through transformation
-Speech, language, and communication post transformation
-Posthumanism and human-animal embodiment
-The outcome of the transformed
-Depictions of human-animal transformations in medieval art and illumination

Please send an approximately 250 word abstract by September 15th to the following:
