Women, Gender, and Sexuality

Proposals are welcomed from established scholars as well as graduate students for individual presentations, panels, or roundtable discussions on any aspect of Women, Gender, and Sexuality in Popular. Topics which address the conference theme of “Celebrating Popular/American Culture(s) in a Global Context” are especially invited. Topics may include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Television, Film, & Fictional Depictions of Women, Gender, and Sexuality
• Literary Women and Women in Literature, Poetry, and Prose
• Western & Non-Western Queer Identities
• Polyamorous /Polyandrous, GQ, and/or Transsexual Subjectivities
• Women, Gender, and Sexuality in Folk Culture, Art, History
• Women, Gender, and Sexuality in Politics, Business, or Industry

Submit your proposal directly into the conference database at: http://conference2013.swtxpca.org. Presentations are allowed approximately 15 minutes per panelist with additional time for Q&A. Graduate students are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the many SWTX PCA/ACA Graduate Student Awards available.
