"And Listen--How It Ought to Go!" Robert Frost and the Question of Influence

The Robert Frost Society will sponsor a session on the question of Frost's influence at the 2013 American Literature Association Conference which will be held in Boston from 23 to 26 May 2013. We invite papers on any aspect of Frost's work, but will give special preference to papers on the question of the poet's inspirations and influence. We most welcome new insights on topics including the following:
Frost's indedtedness to Emerson, Thoreau, Melville, Browning, Swinburne, Longfellow, Hardy, Yeats, Shelley, Keats, etc.
Frost as a poetry teacher
Frost as a poet friend (Ezra Pound, Amy Lowell, Edward Thomas, Robert Francis, Randall Jarrell, Robert Lowell, Elizabeth Bishop)
Frost's impact on New Formalists (Timothy Steele, Rachel Hadas, George Seferis, David Mason, Deborah Warren, Rhina Espaillat)
Frost's influence on Frank Bidart, Seamus Heaney, Joseph Brodsky, Czeslaw Milosz, Derek Walcott, etc.
Frost himself on the question of influence, indebtedness and the giving of the poetic gift
