Managing Blocks, Facilitating Fluency: Rethinking Developmental Reading and Writing
EDvance is a practitioner-based resource for developmental educators seeking innovative methods of instruction for their English classrooms. The journal publishes research-based pedagogy that challenges students to think deeply about their learning in highly creative and imaginative ways. Our purpose is to extend the scope of what it means to teach students of the developmental level.
While we welcome submissions of a wide variety, in our inaugural issue, we are particularly interested in lesson ideas that explore the compositional (reading and/or writing) processes of developmental students.
