Interdisciplinary Literary Studies journal - Special Issuefull name / name of organization: Elizabeth Kelley Bowman / Interdisciplinary Literary Studies (Penn State) contact email: ebowman@uguam.uog.edu We invite essays from interdisciplinary perspectives that address contemporary adaptations of Renaissance literature or art, particularly Jacobean, in film. Approaches sought include anachronism, narrative disjunction, radical or extreme subject matter, and irreverence toward source material. Disciplines might include adaptation studies, literature, art history, reception history, genre studies, and historical and theoretical approaches to early modern works and the materials and production of adaptations.
