NeMLA 2014 - Women's and Gender Studies
The 45th convention of the Northeast Modern Language Association (www.nemla.org) will take place April 3-6, 2014, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Host: Susquehanna University
NeMLA's program of sessions is generated each year by its members. Propose a seminar, roundtable, creative session or panel in WGS.
Sessions that relate to the convention location, including the River, the Civil War, and German immigration, as well as 2014 Anniversaries including World War I and the Civil Rights Act are particular possibilities for session proposals, and in addition, NeMLA 2014 will have a special emphasis on drama and creative writing. While there are many WGS possibilities in these areas, interest in submissions on the wide range of scholarly topics, themes and approaches that interest all those working in WGS remain high. We welcome submissions that reflect your current scholarly interests.
Submit your proposal online by April 15, 2013. You must be a 2013 member to propose a 2014 session: http://nemla.org/convention/2014/proposal_form.html
The full Call for Papers for pre-approved sessions will be available online June 2013; the abstract deadline for papers is Sept. 30, 2013.
