PAMLA 2013 Standing Session: Science Fiction (Submission Deadline: 4/15/13)
Paper proposals are requested for scholarship on science fiction in literature, television, and film.
Conference dates: Friday, November 1 through Sunday, November 3, 2013.
Conference venue: The entire conference will be held at the Bahia Resort Hotel on Mission Bay in San Diego, California.

You may submit multiple papers to PAMLA, but you may submit only one paper to each session, and you may only present one paper at the conference.
Papers may not be read in absentia.
One does not have to be a member of PAMLA to propose a paper, but one must become a member by June 1 to be listed in the program. Membership dues should be paid by by June 1, and conference fees should be paid by by September 15, in order to be listed on the program. (PAMLA now offers a combined membership/conference fee option, to make paying for membership and the conference a single step.)
AV equipment will be limited. All presenters who will need AV equipment are required to notify their Presiding Officer online, at the same time that they propose their paper (by April 15). The Presiding Officer will then coordinate with the presenters to ensure one laptop is available, and all presentations must be loaded onto the designated laptop in advance of the session. Presenters should not plan to switch hookups during a session.
