The Journal of Black Mountain College Studies (http://www.blackmountainstudiesjournal.org/wp/) invites submissions for upcoming issues. A peer-reviewed journal aimed at investigating the history, impact, and creative legacy of Black Mountain College (construed broadly), The Journal of Black Mountain College publishes both scholarly and creative projects and invites submissions for review.

In addition to an upcoming issue with a diverse range of articles on aspects of the history and influence of Black Mountain College, two special topic issues are planned for the near future.

1. Following and drawing upon the 2012 ReViewing Black Mountain College Conference, The Journal of Black Mountain College Studies will devote an issue to Buckminster Fuller. Any paper or web-based project relating to Buckminster Fuller will be considered. The due date for the Buckminster Fuller issue is August 15, 2013.

2. Second, in relationship with the up-coming 2013 ReViewing Black Mountain College Conference, “Shaping Craft + Design,” we encourage submissions investigating and furthering the legacy and influence of Black Mountain College in craft and design. The due date for submissions for this issue is November 1, 2013.

Please send submissions and inquiries via email to the executive editors: Dr. Blake Hobby (bhobby@unca.edu) and Dr. Brian Butler (bbutler@unca.edu).
