This roundtable incorporates discussion of theoretical and historical shifts, design and curriculum, and methodology and assessment of the world literature survey course. The panel seeks to investigate and create a meaningful dialogue on the broad term 'world literature' as it is used in today's literature departments. The goal is to provide a forum where participants share creative ideas and meaningful insights. To that end, lively and engaging presentations that explore and/or brainstorm ways in which we can view world literature as an important general education course, as well as working studies on perspectives and pedagogy are welcome.
