Pirandello’s influence can be detected in the evolution of modern drama as shown in the works of Sartre, Ionesco, Beckett, Borges and O’Neill. This session wants to explore Pirandello’s revolutionary philosophy which has inspired and modeled modern drama all over the world: theatre within theatre, the relativity of truth, the contrast between art and life and the ambiguous relationship between reality and belief.
