40 Years of Writing and Art from the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival

The Michigan Womyn's Music Festival, located in Hart, is an international community of musicians, artists, and activists that gathers in the woods every August to celebrate the lived experiences of feminist and queer womyn. The herstoric festival offers various womyn-centered events and activities, such as political, social, and cultural workshops and performances. To commemorate the 40th anniversary in 2015, we are now accepting writing and art in any form or style, composed about Fest for an anthology, True to H(e)ART: 40 Years of Writing and Art from the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival.
Writers can submit poems, essays, short stories, and plays up to 5,000 words. Visual artists can send up to 5 paintings, drawings, photos, sculptures, or other original artwork. All writing submissions should be in .docx, .rtf, or .odt, and for art, please use .jpg, gif, or .tiff.
True to H(e)ART is open for submissions until Monday, February 3, 2014, to coincide with Halfway to Michfest Soirées.
