Bristol Journal of English Studies CFA
The Bristol Journal of English Studies is now accepting abstract submissions for prospective articles for peer-reviewed publication in winter 2013-2014. The journal publishes critical pieces from early-career academics and research students from all areas of English Studies. Articles should be 5,000 to 7,000 words in length; essays, shorter pieces of up to 5,000 words, are also considered. There is no specific theme for Issue 4, and abstracts engaging with any era or area of English literature are welcome.
The Journal also encourages reviews, of up to 900 words, of recent critical publications within the field of English Studies. All submissions should adhere to the MHRA style guide. Articles, essays and reviews that do not conform to this format will not be put forward for peer review. The latest version of the style guide is available as a free download from the MHRA website:
Please include the following information when you submit your abstract: name; university affiliation; email address; title of the piece submitted; and five keywords.
Please send abstracts of 250 words to the editorial board at firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight 22nd September. All enquires may be sent to the same address.
