The one-day conference seeks to explore and promote the notion of allegory studies as an emerging nexus of interdisciplinary scholarship. We are happy to announce a truly interdisciplinary and international roster of speakers. The keynote lecture will be given by Jon Whitman (English, The Hebrew University), author of a number of major titles on the subject, and other speakers will be Cristina Maria Cervone (English, University of Memphis), James Christie (English and CLS, University of Warwick), Marco Nievergelt (English, University of Lausanne), Raymond W. Gibbs, Jr. (Psychology, University of California, Santa Cruz), Penelope Roberts (Classics, formerly at Warwick), Lisa Rosenthal (Art and Design, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign), and Ery Shin (English, University of Oxford). Full programme and speaker details are available at the conference website.
