Critical Intersections and Crucial Conversations: Diasporas & Regionalisms

NOLA DIASPORA wants to explore the theories, activism, and pedagogies of critical Diaspora studies and critical regionalisms, hoping that awareness and activism can be made stronger by more visible and vigorously articulated connections between them.

How do the rhetorics and responsibilities of these two fields support each other? Compete?

Case studies exploring specific sites, actions, and events are welcomed, as are larger studies exploring theoretical constructs and frameworks. Non-comparative and comparative representations and/or analyses of domestic and global approaches, dialogues, and interventions are encouraged.

The deadline for this special issue is 10 January 2014.
