This panel seeks a broad range of papers exploring how disability challenges normative constructions of the body-environment dyad. For example, how does disability-centered American literature negotiate the relationship between embodiment and emplacement? How might literature by people with disabilities contribute to a more inclusive ecocriticism? How might we re-examine 'canonical' American environmental literature through a disability studies lens?
