Cities of Protest, Cities of Collaboration
From the recent Occupy movement to demonstrations in support of women's right to vote, the last hundred years have seen the city emerge as a pivotal site of resistance and community for a range of social, economic, and political movements around the globe. For the 2014 Women's and Gender Caucus sponsored panel, we are interested in papers that address some facet of women, gender, masculinity, and/or sexuality in the city from World War I to the present. Send brief abstracts to Elizabeth O'Connor at firstname.lastname@example.org by Saturday, October 12th.
