The one-day conference seeks to explore and promote the notion of allegory studies as an emerging nexus of interdisciplinary scholarship. We are happy to announce a truly interdisciplinary and international roster of speakers. The keynote lecture will be given by Jon Whitman (English, The Hebrew University), and other speakers will James Christie (English and CLS, University of Warwick), Marco Nievergelt (English, University of Lausanne),Raymond W. Gibbs, Jr. (Psychology, University of California at Santa Cruz),Penelope Murray (formerly Classics, Warwick), Lisa Rosenthal (Art and Design, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign), and Ery Shin (English, University of Oxford).
