CLINAMEN: Announcing a New Interdisciplinary Series
In 2014, the recently refounded University of Liège Press (Presses Universitaires de Liège) will launch a multivolume series of scholarly, refereed anthologies entitled Clinamen.
Edited by Livio Belloï and Michel Delville under the auspices of the Interdisciplinary Center for Applied Poetics (www.cipa.ulg.ac.be), Clinamen will feature a series of contemporary methodological and theoretical approaches to the interdisciplinary analyses and interpretations of work in literature, music and the visual arts as well as of the intersection and growing permeability of aesthetic and extra-aesthetic discourses and forms of expression.
This series will seek to interrogate the circulation of concepts across the disciplines while contributing to a more general reflection on the goals and methods of inter- and transdisciplinary studies in the humanities. Special attention will also be given to the emergence or development of new genres and disciplines. Preference will be given to monographs rather than edited volumes, unless the nature of the project dictates the collaboration among researchers from different fields of expertise.
We are now accepting proposals for the series. Only proposal in English or French will be considered (bilingual volumes are strongly discouraged). Please send a 3-page prospectus (book description, status of the book, recommended reviewers), a table of contents, two sample chapters and a curriculum vitae to both Michel Delville, email@example.com and Livio Belloï, firstname.lastname@example.org
