International Video Dance Festival of Burgundy (France)

The International Video Dance Festival of Burgundy (France) is
pleased to invite university students (any level: doctoral, masters or undergrad) to participate in a roundtable discussion dedicated to their screendance (video dance, dance film, dance for camera) research and/or screendance making practice.

Students will have the opportunity to discuss their work (academic or practice-based) in an open and informal setting, in the presence of festival directors, invited scholars, and other students. Participants are welcome to attend other conference events and festival screenings during the week of May 12-17, 2014.

Please note: There is no registration fee to participate in the conference or round table events, but the festival is unable to offer travel or accommodation support at this time. A limited number of host families may be available to house students who wish to participate in the round table event. The festival is available to provide letters of support/invitation should you wish to seek institutional funding to attend.

LOCATION: The conference and festival events, as well as hotels and restaurants are all located within short walking distance in the city center of Le Creusot, Burgundy. Panels will be held at the National Theatre and le Centre François Mitterrand. Le Creusot is only one hour's travel time from Paris via TGV train and 30 minutes from Lyon (also via TGV train). The festival team is available to assist with train and hotel reservation information and booking
