Portraits, iconic scenes, generic images, technological endowments, among other possibilities: how does the illustration history of a work evolve over the centuries?

Papers that seek to address the illustration history of one book, novel or poem, are especially encouraged, as are comparative papers exploring illustrated editions published in different languages or in distinct literary forms. Abstracts for 20-minute papers should be sent by 1 February 2014 to Dr. Lauren Beck.
