Stet, the online postgraduate journal for the English Department at King's College London, is now accepting submissions from current postgraduate students for its fourth peer-reviewed publication. In this issue, we will present articles from an international pool of students on the concept of memory.

We invite contributions that engage with the questions and problems of memory and its representation in fiction, film, poetry, theatre, life-writing, visual culture, and beyond. How do we as individuals, groups, or societies remember – and how do we forget? How do we prioritize experiences and events in acts/accounts of remembrance or reminiscence? What are the issues attending how we shape memories into narrative, reportage, or testimonial? How is memory mediated by emerging technologies? We wish to explore the concept of memory in literary and cultural studies from an interdisciplinary, cross-period perspective. Authors may choose to investigate this topic literally, metaphorically, theoretically, or in terms of the close relationship between memory and the very ideas of personal and collective identity. Submissions might address (but need not be limited to):

- Biography, autobiography, memoir, letters
- Trauma, repression, catharsis
- Dreams, reminiscences, reveries
- Social and politic memory
- Testimonials and documentary
- Eulogies and elegies
- Nostalgia and revivalism
- Contested and corrective accounts

Please send articles of no more than 5, 000 words in MHRA style (*latest version downloadable online), along with a brief biography, to alex.belsey@kcl.ac.uk by Friday 20th December 2013. Please also direct any queries to the same email address.
