This issue of the Iowa Journal of Cultural Studies, dedicated to time, invites articles that investigate the ways time is defined, used, experienced, manipulated, constructed, represented, or subverted. The times under consideration can be historical, narratological, eschatological, political, or scientific in nature, and can be found in any manifestations of culture.

Possible essay topics include but are not limited to:
* time travel and paradoxes
* time and technology, rates of technological advancement, computation and measurement of time
* visual representations of time
* singularities, millennialism, apocalypticism, and other ends of times
* life extension, immortality, afterlives, and other endless times; static time
* sacred, liturgical, or secular experiences of time
* aging and bodily time
* emotive time (motherhood, love, boredom, hatred, forgiveness)
* queer temporalities and chrononormativity
* modern, postmodern, post-postmodern experiences of time
* uses of/relationships to history and the past, the relationship between history and narrativity, remediation and the time of reading, the literary past/literary history
* productivity, relationships of time and money, compartmentalizations of time; labor, Taylorism, and the time discipline
* linear, cyclical and other models of time; the environment and time, natural temporality
* animality and time; humanity, time, and the anthropocene
* political time, the campaign season
* information and time, e.g. the 24-hour news cycle
* phenomenological or philosophical understandings of time and the elusive status of the present
* physics and the relationship between nature and temporality
* time and imperialism

Submission info: We ask that submissions be between 8000 and 12,000 words long and be formatted in MLA style (see style guide).
