This is a regular session categorized under "English--U.S. and Canada Studies."

Submissions examining any aspect of Early American Literature are invited. Topics of interest include visual culture, technology, nation, animal studies, humor, and book history, but all proposals will be equally considered.

The 2014 RMMLA Annual Convention will be held on 11-14 October in Boise, Idaho. Abstracts for the "Early American Literature" session should be 300-500 words and must be submitted with a brief bio. to Katherine Bishop (katherine-bishop@uiowa.edu) by 31 March 2014.

All submissions will be acknowledged and notifications sent by 1 April, 2014.
