Paper proposals sought for an approved PAMLA (Pacific Ancient and Modern Literature Association) special session entitled "The Victorians and Literary Theory." Proposals may address British Victorian fiction, poetry, drama, or non-fiction, but the emphasis should be on literary/critical theory and/or the history of literary criticism. In keeping with the conference theme of "Familiar Spirits," this special session aims to reflect on the continuing value of Victorian literature to those who engage with literary theory.
The conference will be held on Friday, October 31 through Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Riverside Convention Center in Riverside, California.
