Papers sought for proposed panel at the SCSC (Sixteenth Century Society Conference) to be held 16-19 October 2014 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

This panel will explore issues surrounding writing women’s lives in and out of sixteenth-century Iberia and its empires. Papers may deal with specific writers or texts, or may engage more broadly with the genre and issues surrounding the writing of women’s lives (biography, autobiography, hagiography, memoir, confession, etc., by both male and female writers).
