Everywhere is a Classroom
Two-Year College English Association-Southwest
TYCA-SW ANNUAL CONFERENCE, Embassy Suites, Frisco, TX
October 23-25, 2014

CALL FOR PAPERS:
Everywhere is a Classroom embraces how approaches, from the traditional classroom to the technologically enhanced classroom, have changed the dynamics of teaching English. From the idea that learners use their own personal experience as a foundation for critical thinking and writing to the challenge of conducting research from a smart phone or tablet, our definitions of learning environments and teaching methods are expanding. Everywhere is a Classroom includes the pedagogical concepts of how learning can occur through observation, reflection, collaboration, and experience in addition to research. Community partnerships, learning communities, and service learning opportunities also stretch and extend the reach of classroom into the public sector. English presentations as well as interdisciplinary presentations from Government, History, and Speech are invited to join the conversation in Frisco, TX on October 23-25, 2014.
