Towards redefining gender normativity in the South Asian context.

Have notions on masculinity changed in the Indian context? What does it mean to be a man in India? Have gender roles changed? To what extent is the Indian man complicit with systems of patriarchy -- institutionally and in the family -- and perpetuates it? Is class an issue as to how men perceive themselves or how society compels men to look at themselves?
