CFP – Panel on Narrative, Intimacy, and the Sexual Revolution – SEPT 1st.
2015 International Conference on Narrative – March 5 – 8 2015, Chicago Illinois.
This panel seeks out papers that explore narratives of intimacy during the Sexual Revolution. Possible topics could include pre/post Stone Wall and queerness; the rise of the feminist movement; intersections between the Civil Rights movement, race, and sexuality; and much more. How did the Sexual Revolution disrupt culturally entrenched narratives about intimacy and sexuality? What are the repercussions of these changes? What narratives are used to discuss the Sexual Revolution in the U.S. and are these narratives helpful or harmful?
Proposals should be 150 – 200 words and are due by September 1st.
