CFP: The Brock Review (5/15/06; journal issue)

The Brock Review is a blind peer-reviewed, scholarly, interdisciplinary
humanities journal that publishes annual themed issues. We at the Review are
currently accepting articles 4000-7000 words in length on the theme of
authenticity, widely conceived, in Western culture.

Possible topics may, but need not, include the following:

--literary treatments of ageing
--social constructions of ageing or the aged
--theoretical discussions of ageing, avoidance of ageing, fear of ageing
--ageing in popular culture, film, television
--ageing and wisdom
--gender and ageing
--ageing and respect or authority
--the history of ageing
--the philosophy of ageing
--feminism and ageing
--ageing and creativity
--ageing and art
