The Journal of ASEAN Studies (JAS) accepts submission for the Volume 4 (July and December Issues) 2016. JAS is an international peer-reviewed bi-annual journal that enriches understanding of the past, current, and future issues relevant to ASEAN and its circle of issues. From 2015, JAS has been indexed by numerous professional indexing entities and the most recent one is obtained from the Directory of Open Access Journal (DOAJ), Social Science Open Access Repository (SSOAR), and EBSCO. The manuscript shall address any research on theoretical and empirical questions about issues or theoretical debates that are pertinent to Southeast Asia. The topics addressed within the journal include: diplomacy, political economy, trade, international relations, national development, traditional security and non-traditional security, geopolitics, social policy, social change, transnational movement, environment, law, business and industry, and other various related sub-fields that are taking place in Southeast Asia or East Asia.
JAS expects manuscript that encourages debate, controversy, new understanding, solid theory, and reflection on ASEAN and Southeast Asia. The manuscript sent should demonstrate a rigorous analysis and clear methodologies, as well as written in an encouraging and analytical style. JAS categorizes manuscripts into article, book review, practice note, and research note. JAS does not publish journalistic piece and predictive style of article. The submission deadline for the Volume 4, 2016
Number 1, July 2016: 10 April 2016
Number 2, December 2016: 10 September 2016

JAS accepts online submission through http://journal.binus.ac.id/index.php/jas . In order to submit, author should firstly sign up for the website (http://journal.binus.ac.id/index.php/jas/login) and register as author before following the guidance in submitting a manuscript. Based on the previous experiences, article processing takes 8-10 weeks if endorsed for publication. JAS does not charge any fee for the article processing. If any problem is encountered during the submission process, the author should leave a notification to jas@binus.edu. Submission can also be made by sending the electronic manuscript to jas@binus.edu. However, the author will eventually be guided to enroll as author and resend their manuscript through our Open Journal System.
