CFP: Theatre History: Emerging Scholars (grad & undergrad) (12/15/05; MATC, 3/2/06-3/5/06)full name / name of organization: Mackay, Ellen contact email: emackay@indiana.edu Call for Papers: Emerging Scholars Symposium Two Emerging Scholar Debut Panels: One Graduate and One Undergraduate Undergraduate and Graduate students who have not yet presented at a major theatre conference are invited to submit papers for the 2006 Emerging Scholars Symposium, two panels of the Mid-America Theatre Conference. Papers for the two panels are welcome on any topic in theatre history, theory, or dramatic literature. Submissions that treat a subject related to this year's MATC theme, "New Millennium Formations: A Praxis for Collaboration & Multicultural Diversity in the 21st Century" are especially encouraged. Such papers might include discussions of... • models/practices of collaboration Up to three participants will be selected for each panel, and each panelist will have fifteen minutes to deliver his or her paper. Students whose papers are accepted will receive Papers should be 7-10 pages in length (1750-2500 words), and will be evaluated on writing quality, originality, and critical/theoretical sophistication. Submissions must be received by December 15, 2005. Please include the name of your academic institution, mail and email address, telephone number, and a brief bio, and specify whether you are submitting to the Undergraduate or Graduate Debut Panel. Matriculated undergraduates are also welcome to apply.
